I wear slip on Doc Martins and they are great. They make a lace up as well. Academy, a little over a hundred.

I personally don't think you can beat Redwings, and you don't have to spend near $300.00 if you don't want to. If you wear out work shoes, they are cheaper in the long run, not to mention better on the feet. Better to spend 150-200 on one pair of redwings than 2- 4 pairs of 100-150 dollar shoes. My 2 cents for whatever its worth. By the way, I am wearing a pair of redwing wellingtons that would normally cost at least 175 that I got new, but without the box on ebay for I think around 75 dollars. Might be worth checking out.

John Deere Boots made by the Dan Post Boot Company are the most comfortable boots I have ever put on. I have had a few pair of redwings and in my opinion they do not compare to the John Deere's. They run about 150 and are worth every penny. The only place around I know that stocks them is Smith Tractor Company in Jay but you can order them online. Try em out and you wont regret it.
