Default Why make back-ups.....

Below is a CD disk that literally EXPLODED in my CDR/RW. This is one reason I make copies of instillation CD's, along with duplicates of CD's I burn.:banghead:banghead:banghead

Dang Ron,

You need to be careful, you could put your eye out with that thing.

All my adolescent life I've heard "don't do that, you will put your eye out" After doing all those things I shouldn't of done...I still have sight in both my eyes.:bowdown:bowdown

Has anyone else had a disk explode intheir CD/RW? This is the third that I have knowledge of. My Dad and Sysop (Devin), are the other two.:banghead:banghead

Potential mystery who broke it. The first photo has a reflection which possibly is manicured fingernails suggesting picture was taken by a woman. (although light creases on the disk could be decieving) Second photo reflection has fingernails of a Tuna Man.

Not sure whodunit???

All kiding aside. On my CDR you can't close it unless it is seated correctly. I heard it spin up for about 10 seconds then it exploded. All I thought at first was.......

Information....What causes that is...as the disk starts spinning at and in this case at7200rpm, a vibration sets in and that's the name ofthat story.
