Dress codes for schools is a different matter.

Where's the petition to sign?? I'm for it. My wife made me walk through Old Navy a few years back. There should be a law forbidding the manufacture of XL spandex.

Actually, I read that it started in Atlanta. When thugs would go to prison, they'd lose a bunch of weight and when they exited, their clothes didn't fit anymore. Hence the sag.

Took the short cut off 2nd street to bypass the navy blvd light going to base. Older, like 40s, guy was walking down the cross road. As i approached i thought he was sagging wearing brown boxers. Then i saw a single dark stripe. Then i realized the bastard was not wearing any boxers at all and he had his pants sagging down to his mid thigh..WTF! Thanks for the early morning sunshine A-Hole!

I say let them do it, makes it hard for those monkeys to run from the police.

Used to kick in doors on crack houses. Really funny watching the crackheads try to run away with their pants around their ankles. I lived in Mississippi a couple a years ago and the local stores had signs in the window saying they would refuse service to anyone whose undewear was exposed. I think I saw signs about the same thing on P'Cola Beach boardwalk recently

Yeah stores can make dress codes like the no shoes, no shirt, no service thing. There's a store just over the AL line that has a big sign on the door that says pull up your pants or stay outside!

I don't like the sagging pants because its just indecent and at one time underwear was call unmentionables, meaning they were not to be seen or talked about. Where did that go? And it goes for women too with their panties hanging out. Thats why they make stripper bars.

But all in all where I work, the sag just points out to us all the shoplifters. They might as well wear a sign that says i am going to steal. When we catch them we make them zip tie their pants so they stay up lol

"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others." Thomas Jefferson

That's why this is allowed. It's not government's place to take away people's liberty because we don't like how they choose to use it. I don't like it either, by the way, but it helps me easily identify people to stay away from.

The origination of this being prison is a myth.

People that say this isn't a government issue are wrong. What it isn't is a federal government issue, this belongs to local governments to decide the way the constitution meant.
