Many years ago the University of Alabama dedicated a huge amount of money to the UA Football program and in doing so became one of the Perennial National Championship programs. In that day and time there were several programs that had the money to run with the University of Alabama and they too were Perennial programs.

In todays college football enviroment which has been made more even and fair by limits on schollarships and other limitations, it would be a delusional idea to think that the results there acheivable "back in the day", could be reproduced in todays college football enviroment. This mindset or way of thinking could easily be persieved as arrogant among the other tallented programs in college football.

Nick Saban can not and will not live up to this expectation at the University of Alabama, as no one else could either. So I guess he should do what most would do and ride the deal until the Admin. finds out he can't.

I am not what I could call an Auburn Fan, but I did enjoy them being the Iron Bowl Champion, and feel the better team Won, even moreso in proving they had the gumption to stay in the game when behind by 24. But, to be completely and brutally honest, as long as the University of Alabama stays on the High Horse they think they are, I hope they Loose the next 80.

Congrats Auburn, and Great Game and even better performance.

i am going to say this we came out in the first half dominated the game and went conservative the second half kept running trent and you could tell he wasn't 100 percent they quit throwing to julio jones and many plays maze was wide open but hey its football anyone can win on saturday when the defense sit down and lets them run wild i will say this steve spurrier watched that game and he saw auburns weakness its the long pass auburn couldn't cover a high school on the long pass so this is my two cents south carolina is going to come at auburn like a bunch of jacked up cocks going deep often south carolina will win by 14 and knock auburn out of the national championship hopes GO GAMECOCKS

Sounds like sour grapes to me. BTW JJ did NOT want to catch the last two balls thrown to him. Man up and quit crying.

FLOATER.........

AUBURN 28
ALABAMA 27

You got shut down. Auburn played like a Championship team, some luck and lots of pride. We took your scores from you, we defended well when we didnt. Anyway you look at it, AU performed when it was most important. Appreicate the tough game, maybe the BCS will see it!

I could say we spotted ya 24 to make it a game.... LOL WAR EAGLE!

1 day down and 364 more to go!

The logic behind this argument is just about as good as the sentence structure.
