Cam newton is a great QB. What's his record in the NFL?

I don't hate him at all. I just don't think he deserves the adulation he is getting. There are a lot of very devout Christians in the NFL that are very skilled and some of them have been badasses for years. I don't dislike the fact that he is very vocal about being Christian.

I do however dislike the prayer stance and here is why....

Matthew 6:5-6

When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward.

But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you

Floater, learn punctuation. I'm not comparing Scam Newton to Tebow. I'm just saying the kid is winning games.

WW2, I don't think he does it for attention and he sure isn't a hypocrite. Have you ever prayed in a restaurant before eating? I pray before every meal regardless of where I am. Does this make me a hypocrite?

Was Jesus told to go to an inner room and pray or spread the word of the Lord?

Isn't he? Well, that's between him and his God. I sure don't know what is in his heart and neither do you.

I pray when I feel it is needed and I do it alone. No, I do not pray before every meal and I do not do it in public.

Spreading the word of the Lord and praying are two different things. When he paints scripture on his face he is spreading the word and I am perfectly fine with that. He can run up and down the field with banners and I would cheer him on. But praying after a touchdown in front of millions of people IMHO is going against 2 very important passage from the bible. Matthew is where you are taught how to pray and it specifically says not to make it a public ordeal.

IMHO yes, it is hypocritical to make a spectacle of prayer.

One guy can't change a team?

Lets see:

Carolina were losers before Cam Newton started....STILL LOSERS

Colts were winners before losing Peyton...... LOSERS NOW

Broncos losing before Tebow started....... WINNERS NOW

Lost to the Raiders without Tebow, WON against Raiders with him. We'll see about the Chargers. Broncos was down 29-10 in 4th when they put him in and almost won 1st time around.
