Back when i worked offshoe,When i would catch a Bonita I would cut a large tear drop shape out of the bonitas side then split it half way down to the tapered end and free float it in the current with hust a steel leader and hook.Man, I would tear them up.It actually got boreing catching them after a few weeks.

Threadfins and cigs.

I like to fish the threads on a fly line, no weight just a hook through the tail. Sometimes I go to a Carolina rig for both.
