Default Whats Up With UM Tickets?

Whats up with the price of tickets? If you look at the most SEC teams its at least $100 for crap seats for high profile games. UM tickets for as low as $3 and as low as $5 for UM vs Ga Tech tickets on stubhub. Is there really not that many people interested in going to the games, I dont know I havent kept up with it, tonight will be the first UM game I have watched in years.

There is a lot to do in Miami. The culture of the people in Dade county does not include football. The school only has like 4,000 students and it cost $58,000 a year so most people went to a state school. The cheapest season tickets are $150 so I don't know how they are getting away with that. Honestly the thing is there is so much to do in Miami. Thats why every major sport doesn't draw huge #'s.

I'll buy part of that argument... small school.

But the Dolphins and Heat can fill a stadium or arena:

The Marlins did pretty well when they were competitive, not great but okay if I remember right.

The Dolphins are the only exception. That will go away soon enough if they don't start winning. I'm 31 and have never seen them make it past the 2nd game in the playoffs. The reason they still sell a lot is 85% of Miami is not from Miami. Next time they are on tv look at the fans. The other teams have great showings in Miami. The Heat are only sold out because they bought the 3 best players in the NBA. Being sold out and filling the stadium are 2 different things. The place is always half full. It is a fad for these very wealthy people to buy them up for status and never go. If they do go the show up 1 hour late. They talk about that all the time on the radio.
