Just another example of societal breakdown. I suspect that we may start seeing retaliations for stuff like this, not just having everyone wait around for justice to be served.

A second or so later two bros came out of Walmart and climbed in the car in front. Then it just sat....and sat .......and sat with one of the back doors open. So, I sat there for a minute or so then one last homie comes out with a case of beer, walks back to the trunk of their car while watching me. I sort of shifted in the front seat and I think he took it as me acting POed for him taking so long. He starts yelling at me (couldn't hear exactly what he said, plus I don't speak Ebonics), sat the beer down and punched the hood of Dad's car. I literally do not remember anything after I threw the door open and dashed around the front of the car towards him. We tangled between the cars then a security guy and a State Trooper (no idea where he came from) separated us. They made me sit on the pavement while the a$$holes got in their car and left. Only after they were completely out of sight did the LEOs let me up to go find my dad.

Checked the hood of dad's car and didn't see any marks or denting.

Situations like that are really not worth someone's life or freedom but in my dreams I would have bashed that asshole's face on the trunk lid of his car for an hour or so.
To bad you were not packing, Should have shot the POS. They don't give a sh?t about you, me, anyone or anything . America is out of control. I never leave home without at least 2 in my car, Too crazy out there today.

I didn't CC at the time. Though I totally agree with your feelings, the only thing a gun would have served in that situation would have been to make me the first George Zimmerman. Dude I tangled with didn't have a weapon and I'm the one that launched out of the car and dove into him.

Edit

Ooops, got a PM on this from a member. Lest anyone mistake my GZ comment, I'll clarify before this starts another pissing match.

I meant that it would make me like GZ in the respect that I'd be tied up for the rest of my life in legal BS and be drained of every nickle I have or ever will have. I personally believe (though the jury is still out) that GZ did what he had to do.

Sean, 25 years ago I would have done the same thing you did as I have gotten older and things have gotten worse I have started carrying about everywhere I go, I guess to equalize my age. Probably a good thing you did not have a gun, Glad you were not hurt and hope you got best of the POS. As far as Zimmerman goes I agree with you on that one, I think we will eventually see he did what he had to do keep the guy from killing him.we shall see.

I guess in my situation there would have been a chance that Homie was carrying and I could have gotten killed. Like you GD, I do believe things are much worse and being older myself I carry as an equalizer.

The problem is in my situation and the OP's parking lot incident is that as a law abiding citizen you don't have the options that the a$$holes do. When a situation does get out of hand and you get into the envelope of justifiably pulling your firearm you may be behind the curve (other guy's already got his weapon out). The BGs don't have anything to lose, we do.

In my situation it would have been really sweet to have had time to leave a lasting "impression" on that POS before the LEOs broke us up. In reality I probably would have been ganged up on by the whole carload.
