Default What kind of snake again?



Picture not the greatest, neighbor took it, looks the elusive banded water snake but wanted to double check and make sure?

Head looks angular to me. Copperhead or moccasin would be my guess.

Looks like a water snake....not a great clear pic. Definitely not a copperhead. It looks to skinny fer a moc.

Based on size, it would still have a yellow tail if it were a Moc or Copperhead.

How long is it ? Doesn't look very fat or the head very triangular so that rules out Copperhead and Moccasin............kind of.
But in that first picture, it does kind of look like a band across the eyes which is the mark of a cottonmouth.
Hard to say based on the pictures. Could be a cottonmouth or copperhead that has been working out and small heads run in his family.

I don't know much other than picture, that's how the neighbor sent it to me. If I had to guess, the snake has moved onto another life. Thanks for everybody taking a look!

The tail doesn't taper off much. Long and skinny. Think you're good.
