Default Welders.....?

Hi everyone.. i have the opertunity to purchase a lincoln 255c Mig welder. i am fairly new to welding and have a cheapo one currently. This machine is in great condition. whats the value of it??? I found online alot of prices fron $1000 to $1600. Is this accurate? Thanks in advance

Mabey 1000, with all I mencioned included, and that's top notch condition. If its older than 10years mabey 600-800

Guess it just depends on age, you could possibly fetch 1000.00 for it in this area. U.fourtunetly in this economy there are just too many people that don't want to pay Jack for a good machine. Stay away from craigslist, best bet would be like eBay or somewhere that's not local. Generally in this area welders can be purchased for under 1000 and the ones close to that price never seem to sell
