Pinksnappercatcher (1/19/2008)How did you hunt out of a boat in a lake that was frozen over??????
First the OX Bow lakes are not deep where we hunt. We slide the boat in the water (on the ice), with someone in the front and we will push (walk behind) the boat up on the ice and the person on the front will kind of jump up and down breaking the ice. Then we push the boat forward on the ice and start again. I remember at times the water behind us will refreeze together with a minute. Now thats wanting to go duck hunting.

Been this way all my life. So long as that I don't get wet I don't have a problem with the temperatures we get South of the Mason Dixon line. But thats me.

Got 3/4" of snow, all on ground is now melted, still on autos and roofs. Personally would of liked to see a good foot here, but oh well.

What's that on the ground next to you Ron??? Is that my new truck ordament??

Sorry, couldn't resist. Although it looks cool, it is no longer my thing. Glad I don't have to shovel that stuff any longer. I think it is supposed to get down into the low 30's here tonight, might have to bring the lime tree in so I can have my Corona's tomorrow.

Was wondering when someone would pick up on that. To tell you how stupid people are, the road (from right to left) in front of my house is actually a circle and comes out at the STOP sign. Why in the world they didn't call it "Southern Hills Circle" is way beyond me.:banghead:banghead:banghead
