I am trying to decide if I am still going to Atlanta tomorrow for the Fly Fishing Expo. Supposed to be 1-3 inches there tomorrow. Only Rain and Slush here in Montgomery. I am just worried that I will get up ther and get trapped. Got no money to stay up there...

Talked to dad the other day, Wed. I think, when I heard Luke McCoy say snow was in NOrth Bama. Called dad and he said there was about 1 1/2" of snow on the ground. I heard tonight they expect 4-6" of snow.

SKYLER - Stay home. They don't have the same equipment as the north for this. :angel

How did you hunt out of a boat in a lake that was frozen over??????

Gonnamissher (1/18/2008)If it gets really cold Ron, and you decide to make the trek to the mailbox barefoot, can I have whatever falls off to hang from my truck's trailer hitch???

Sorry, that was a different thread....
Now that as I must admithas me

I've been cold (really cold) only about 3 or so times in my life. 1) Walking down the pier during their winter, between 2 carriers in Norfolk, VA. The wind was blowing 90 to nothing. 2) When living in Greenville, MS I had a water pipe break under my house due to freezing. With a pool of water under there, I got on my swim suit and crawled under the house to repair it. The delta for those of you that know, know is gumbo (sticks to you) and muddy when wet. After I finished I washed offwith the water hose in the yard. 3) While duck hunting and the lake was FROZEN over I tripped over a stob and with waders onwent in OVER my head. I got in the boat pulled everything off, emptied my waders and crawled back into them, and continued to hunt for the next hour or so till we limited out. Probably a couple more but those are frozen in my memory.:banghead:banghead:banghead Cold wasn't the word. I really hate the temp above 70. 40's to 50's are perfect. What the hell am I doing here.....:banghead:banghead:banghead
