How BIG is the FLORIDA job?

ESPN just spent an entire HOUR on Meyer's decision.

I'd bet they've NEVER done that before for a coach regardless of sport... and it continues...

I'll bet he'll take a couple years off.

He claims he has missed all the important events in his kids lives for 10 years. He has a daughter at Ga Tech in college playing volleyball, a girl graduating HS going to Florida Gulf Coast (University?) on another VB scholarship. A son playing sports as a Junior in High School.

I'll wager he spends two years doing "speaking" and "consulting" or "commentating" for ESPN work, and watching his kids play sports, then get back into coaching.

I have the same medical issues that I've heard he has. Its not life threatening if its controlled but very difficult to feel good. Also stress is the main thing that sets it off. I've got it under control. It took a job change for me. Wish I had his money and I'd remove my stress completely.

Class act and seems like he did things right.

Dan Mullen would be a terrible hire. If I had any influence at Florida I would make sure to tell Jerry I am completely against the hire of Dan Mullen.

Here's a link to what Tony Dungy said about Urban Meyer. About half way down the page. You can listen to the entire interview.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatrick/

Dungy seems to be happy outside coaching, just doing football on TV and radio.

Urban was a terrible interview, but okay as a commentator when they used him a couple years ago during the BCS game.

I think we both make great hires. Yours should be bigger but what if we get Polini?? and you get petersen? Both have had huge success. When your the top 2 jobs open in the country it's like splitting hairs.

Not upset at all. I was simply laughing and reminding folks like our beloved "Buckethead", that numerous schools have had issues with players.
If perhaps I gave any inaccurate information, please feel free to correct me.
I hope that smiley face means you're joking. I have said numerous times on here that these things happen at all schools. It's typically Gators that like to act innocent while calling FSU "Criminoles" and UM "Thugs." By the way, while we're talking about academic fraud... You think Urban may have pulled a Pete Carroll and slipped out before the hammer comes down? I think Mr. Newton's academic issues at UF are bringing the NCAA in to take a closer look. Just sayin'.
