Anyone ever been to Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Nights? The wife and I are thinking of taking the kids down for a weekend. It looks scary as heck. We thought about shooting over to Busch Gardens and trying the Hallow Scream also. Any done it?

I have been and its very good, worthwhile for sure. It is a very big production and you can tell they spent alot of money on it.

Geez it's been 8 years since I last went to Horror Nights or Hallow Scream (grew up in central FL). If the kids aren't at least near high school don't take them to either, it's pretty intense for anyone under 12~13, they don't just scare you in the haunted houses, they also have people running around outside trying to scare you. They won't let you 'take a breath' from the action per se. Probably Horror Nights has my all time nod for best in show, then again they have a dedicated team that works all year round on it, and I think budget isn't an issue with them. Enjoy them if you go.

Thanks, my kids are older. Sounds like this is right up their alley.

Hey man. I go to UCF and can get you discounted tickets to Universal if you want. I believe they work for Hollywood Horror Nights, but I'll have to check and get back to you on that.

If you do go, you really need to go ahead and spend the money on the fast pass tickets. I seriously doubt you can see all of it without them. Well worth the money. You will understand when you see it.

Good deal, they'll have a blast.waterwings is right, get the fast pass if you want to see all of the haunted houses, else you'll be waiting in line for an hour or 2 in line on a slow day. I've waited 3 hours in line one time.

I've been the last two years and I'm leaving Thursday next week to go with my girlfriend again. It's great entertainment. The only thing I suggest is that you spend the extra money and get express passes. If not, you will be waiting in line the entire time and you won't get to enjoy the houses. I wouldn't go without express passes.
