I think he is going to leave. He is a good coach I am not sure why he would even go up there and talk to Mich. if he was planning on staying unless he his going to use it for leveraging more money in his contract.

I personally do not think Tubs is going anywhere. This happens every year.It happens with every good coach. If he cannot ink a good deal comparable to loser Saban, can you blame him for wanting more money? It is big time business and this is where we are with football coaching in the big leagues these days.If he leaves,I am happy we had him and giving us bragging rights over the Tide.Auburn won't let him leave after the last debacle.:nonono

AUradar (11/30/2007)I bet this is all a distraction so that Saban can slipped down to LSU unnoticed

THAT WILL NEVER BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN!!!!! HE DID HIS JOB IN BATON ROUGE, NOW HE'S TOAST THERE! HE COULD HAVE HAD ANYTHING HE WANTED AT LSUIF HE HAD STAYED. BUT, NOW HE IS RIGHT WHERE HE DESERVES TO BE. IN THE VALLEY OF THE BLIND,WHERETHE ONE-EYED JACK IS KING!!!!!!!

AND HELL NO! WE DON'T WANT TUBBY EITHER!!! :banghead

GEAUX TIGERS! BEAT THE VOLS!
Funny post about Saban:clap

By the way....as this Tubs and Auburn thing continues to carry on, word is now that LSU DOES have interest in CTT(when/if Miles leaves--being reported on ESPN that he will) and CTT's agent has already talked to LSU. Looks like there is mutual interest and the Arky job is not the one he wants. Auburn has delivered a written contract proposal to CTT and he has 30 days to decide although this should go down sometime this weekend probably after the SECCG. I don't know if he got everything he wanted in the contract but I suppose we will find out soon. You LSU fans might not like CTT but I would sure rather have him on the sideline than Milesoke

How can you call Saban a Looser???????????? Look at his overall record in college football. You have to give a guy a chance to recruit and put his players into the game before you can fairly judge. Those are Shula's players and god for bid if shula was still the coach, we might not have won 6 this year.

Its on ESPN right now. Looks like he is going to MEE-sha-gan. I guess it isnt much of a suprise but the timing kinda sux for LSU on the day of the SECCG. Somebody has done a crappy job of covering up before the game. Of course nothing official yet and wont be till after the game.

As far as Tubs goes, his agent(Jimmy Sexton) has already had discussions with LSU.

Not coincidentially, Sexton is ALSO little Nicky's agent........

fishn4real (11/30/2007) AU likes Tubb, but Florida State is looking for someone to take Bowden's spot, and I think they are looking at each other. I think they would be a great match.
I haven't heard that. But you're right, on the personality side Tubbs is a lot like Bowden and that would be an easy transition. I can't imagine Tubbs wanting to go there though. I can't imagine anyone really wanting that job. The first coach will probably hear "thats not how Bobby did it" his entire tenure. To big of an act to follow.
Bowden is in the process of signing a contract extension withit in writing that he leaves when he gets ready to leave. This was confirmed by Bowden and his agent. Source PNJ sports section not the internet rumor mill.

I heard the bowden contract was only a 1 year extension. makes sense to me. I don't see how you give someone at that age a long contract. Regardless of what the job is or who it is.
