Let's face it, the only reason guys pay that price is because they hope to meet women. Since I've got a woman, thank goodness, I don't have to do that anymore.
But, even when I was on the prowl, I would mostly hang out where drinks were cheap. No Seville for me.
Back in the 80s a bunch of us from work would go on Fridays to a couple of different bars around town where the drinks were 50 cents during happy hour(s).
I can't ever recall paying more than $4 for a drink or beer in my life. And the $4 was on rare occasions.
If people would just stop going, these outrageous prices would come down.

Looking for a stiff drink the only place to go is Sr Richards on Cervantes by bayou texar. Not much for atmosphere but they do pour them strong.

When I live in Pensacola I used to go to a hole in the wall on nine mile called scenic hills, used to drink crown all night for under $20. But if you want a budget drink fish house is not where you go in the first place. Second knowing a bartender always helps and so does leaving a fat tip with your first drink. Most the time all you hafta do is say these are weak and the waitress should realize her tip might be dependant on the amount of alcohol in your drink.

Forget the jack and go get a diesel fuel at Flounders or an Irish Wake at McGuire's!

Intermissions is a good spot, Mike, the owner, will be the bartender with the long hair closest to the front door.

I don't go out much, but the guy that makes the strongest drinks at Seville is back in the Northwest corner past the dance floor by the pool tables. Can't remember his name at the moment.

Take it from a bartender. You want a good drink, tip fat.. Never complain that "its not strong enough", you will get an even weaker drink next round. You want a double, order a double. Cant afford a double? Drink at home and make em as strong as you want
