Default Sunglasses

I've been looking for a new pair of amber polarized sunglasses and WOW!

I can't find any that aren't wally world chicom crap for less than a Benji. Costa Real Mucho and Ray Ban$ have some great looking models but as rough as I am on them that's a stack of dough to shell out.

I saw a few Flying Fisherman I could live with for around $30, always liked those but of course they discontinued my favorite model years ago. I bought 5 pairs back then and have now run out. They're not real rugged.

Anybody know if any of the tackle shops still carry FFs? I do want to buy local so I can be sure they fit OK.

Suggestions on other brands?

Look into Guidelines. They're not as expensive as the costas, raybans, etc..., but they are great quality. There are several local tackle shops around here that carries them and Academy does too.

Does your workplace have a vision plan? Should be able to buy glasses with it even without a prescription I would imagine. Doesn't hurt to check. Most cover frames $150 to $200.

with sun glasses you get what you pay for....ive had costa, guidelines, and oakleys...costas are over priced and a shitty warranty, i love my guideline elites, and just got a pair of oakleys and have yet to fish with them but like the feel and clarity

Self employed, but I will check my insurance.

Guidelines went under from what I've been told. Holding on to my Rio Elites tightly these days with that news.

Oakley Monster Dogs with the fishing specific lense are really good. I now use Spy Kash with polarized lense. The Spys fit me way better, I now keep the Oakley as a back in case I forget the other ones.
