Thumbs up Some of my best beach finds

All were found on Pensacola Beach.
There is an old WWII bombing range out there.
I have found many 50 cal bullets and 30 cal bullets.
Also find these cast iron practice bombs. They had a phosphorous charge in them to show where they hit. I have only ever found one 50 cal casing, mated it with a bullet I found. Sometimes you find the bullets in a line in the sand as they were fired in a strafing pass. Most 50 cal bullets found are boat tail, some are tracers. Note the Phosphorous in the base of the bullet pictured.

Also found this ale bottle out there in the same area.
After a little research I found it is from an old English brewery. I would like to meet the old salt that drank this one. The lid is threaded as is the inside of the neck of the bottle. Appears to be Ebony or some black hardwood.

Label says:

No metal detector needed. you just find them laying on the top of the sand. The bombs are usually found with the tail fins sticking up out of the sand. A metal detector in this area would be beeping constantly as there is shrapnel and rusted metal everywhere from corroded missiles fired during WWII training.

Here is one of the boat tail 50 cal bullets and another tracer that got really hot.

Some of you old timer Pensacola guys probably know the location of this range. There used to be a huge asphalt X in the sand out there.
