Default Snoring

My wife's about ready to move to another bedroom. If I could lose about 15 pounds the problem will usually go away but this is a bad time of year to diet! Lady at church bought me a chinstrap. Every time I dose off I wake up feeling like I'm suffocating. Have tried wearing for 2 nights but only lasted about 20 minutes before I threw it against the wall! Wife says I don't stop breathing. Just snore - loud!! Any suggestions? Anybody else use a chinstrap??

Go get a sleep study done, get a CPAP machine, get the mask that only goes into the nostril, doesn't cover your mouth like some you see. Best money ever spent for me.

I never use to snore until this year. I guess I finally got too fat. Lol. My wife isn't happy about it at all, and I'm not too happy about having to lose weight. I think that she's just gonna have to deal with it till spring, or she can wear earplugs. I would kinda like to keep my layer of insulation till then. I sleep on my back and have toy'ed with the idea of placing a little pillow or a rolled up rag or "wash cloth" for you fancy people. I didn't know that they made a chin strap contraption to prevent snoring.

Used to snore like a train . I would wake up people in the next tent when camping, been using a cpap for 20 years & no more snoring & I sleep like a baby now . Took about 2 months to get use to it.

Default I have a "mouth-piece"...

Made by Silent Night..Had two over the last five years. Works great. I even lost about 5# that I hadn't before without trying...
When I overload with bourbon, it doesn't work as well....
