Default SEC plus FSU and Miami

I don't know about the rest of you but it looks like the SEC is going to be wide open the next few years. There are tons of young teams that will be significantly better next year and the gap will widen versus other conferences. I also think the other Florida teams will keep moving in the right direction especially if Miami makes a good hire. Man I love college football.... Don't care much about college basketball until March Madness and that's mainly because Cobia season is right around the corner.

If Auburn starts off in the NC game like they did today it will be ugly and the SEC dominance will be obvious even to the left coast.

Who will win the East and West next year??

I agree... it'll only get tougher.

I'd happily take fsu and miami into the SEC though. I don't think either would accept an invitation though. They don't need the SEC, but they need something better than the ACC.

I see a unification of the ACC and the Big East with a few throw aways. That might be a pretty good conference if you pick and choose.

The problem would be BOTH are GREAT or very good bb conferences (despite fsu and um membership)

For a lot of those schools THAT is more important.

I hope something shakes out to force a playoff for football. I think a collapse of the ACC and Big East because they really are not competitive with the PAC 12, Big 10/11, SEC and don't deserve their "automatic" bids will help.

I agree Jim. I was in the camp the SEC would be hurt by the parity rules and the strength of the conference, meaning we would beat each other up so much no one could end the year undefeated. Bama and Auburn have proven it can be done but both could have easily lost a game or two... It was nice to hear some of the pundits state earlier that even if Auburn losts they still deserved a spot in the NC due to their body of work.

SEC SEC SEC.... Especially since this was a rebuilding year for Florida.

Miami can have a good hire they just can't have Dan our Man. We like him in Starkville and we'd like to keep him a few more years.

I think Miami would join the sec is there was a playoff. Otherwise no. There is already a trend with Miami where they are knocking down the talent of their out of conference schedule. It would be fun. As far as fsu goes the fans don't need to worry they are in the easiest half of the ACC and jimbo will get them where they need to be. 1st year Miami butt whoopin and 2nd in the ACC and the best recruiting class I the country! That's huge. The reason I say the best is they are going to get a few more huge names like nick o'leary the #1 te. It will all be good I the state of Florida very soon. Crazy thing is other than Miami and UF all the other teams in the state either played for or won their conferences. UCF=bad ass.

If Cam comes back to AU next year, AU repeats as western champs. But, with the entire offensive line leaving, him winning the championships, and the Heisman, why would he come back? Georgia will win the East next year, Murray is gonna be great for them. UGA and AU in the SEC title next year. I would love to see Miami or FSU in the SEC, but those ACC schools already have a hard enough time in that soft conference.

I think it would be awesome if FSU and Miami would join the SEC. I don't think it would happen, but no doubt it would be awesome.

I really hope Cam comes back next year. I know it probably wouldn't be a smart decision because if he were to get hure, heaven forbid, then he would risk losing his ability to make the money in the NFL.

Back before I destroyed my elbow, I was looking at going straight from highschool into the minor leagues. However, because I can no longer pitch I ended up in Auburn. I was already talking to scouts, and just about had it set in stone to go to the Devil Rays. But all those plans changed once the doctor told me that I would more than likely never be able to pitch again. I would hate for the same thing to happen to Cam.

But I'm not gonna lie. I wouldn't mind one bit if he would come back and lead Auburn to another season like this year!

Yeah, that worked for Tebow and Ingram. Heisman/natl champion returnees are a shoe-in for another national championship

(Yes I know you said western champs......, but there is way too much luck that is involved in championships. Sometimes teams just have it (big mo) and sometimes they don't.)
