Great Job:clap

And from someone who(because of my job) has had the unfortunate job more than once of telling a family "I am sorry, your loved one couldn't be saved".......THANK YOU for not being afraid to help another human being in time of need :bowdown:bowdown

Great Job - It only takes a second with small kids at the beach. Thanks to you and your husband a little one is still here with us . I know the dad is very thankful and it has taught him a lesson I hope . Like Daddy Time said " his mind could have been on something else "but still there should be no excuses.

Good Job! I have personally worked numerous drownings at the beach and it sucks for everyone around the scene, including family, friends, onlookers, law enforcement and rescue personell. It makes everyone sit back and wonder how in a flash that perfect day can turn into the worst day of some folks life. It doesnt always take someone being ignorant to the water capabilities or just plaincarelessness. Many times it has been the citizen that attempts the rescue that ultimately pays the price and drowns attempting to save the life. Either way it's tragic. Again consider your self heroes.

Isn't odd how those that would love to have children are the ones that have trouble doing so. Yet the people that probably should not be populating this earth have more than they can or are willing to care for. We were unable to have children naturally either. We got lucky that the first round of treatments worked for us and now have a beautiful 2 year old daughter.

Being around water all the time, we keep an eye on her every second of every moment we are out there. Her life just means way to much to me to even do otherwise. Being around water with children is a full time job where at least one person has to have a pair of eyes on them at all times.

I guess my comment about the baseball bats was a bit over the top. :doh The PFF is good in helping to temper some thoughts and actions. Yep some of the comments and insiteful perspective got me thinking and I realize now that sand filled rubber hoses would be more appropriate. Gotta love the forum.

God bless the rescuers.
