Default San Diego Port Security Says WMD Found on American Soil

Assistant Director of the Port of San Diego admitted to a KGTV reporter that officials have found, in the past, weapons of “mass effect.” A public affairs official interrupted the officer during the interview saying they would provide more information later. The Department of Homeland Security, responding 23 days later, said the officer was “confused” and “nervous”.

That's a bit unnerving! Weapons of mass effect! My wife would say that after I had a bowl of chili.

I'm glad they found it. I hope they catch the next batch too.

Other than we are obviously a target, really no surprise.

What goes on behind the scene is truely incredible.

Do a google search on "Echelon". What they can do is incredible.

But WE were WRONG about WMDs in Iraq so I suppose how you USE the information can be important.

We just didn't find them. I doubt that many people didn't think that Sadam had them. We had every reason to think he did. JMHO

Yet WE were wrong...

I'd say it was because we BELIEVED some things, but IGNORED others.

AFTER the FACT: They were not there!

WHY did we believe they were?

My answer. Because we WANTED to believe they were!, Hence they WERE there.

AGAIN, WE were WRONG! WE!!!

That sucks, we invaded a country, cost thousands of lives because WE were WRONG.

Did Saddam deserve to be displaced? MAYBE. But NOT because of false impressions about WMDs.

There in the 80's...

But we lost touch with the number used, then handed over.

In the 2000's he had None, Zero, Zilch, Nada... etc.

WE just did not want to accept it aftere he refused access to a few palaces that had NADA, Zilch, Zippo, None, NADA, etc.

WE WANTED to believe they were there. WE were wrong. HE was wrong to deny access. SO THOUSANDS of Americans died, Hundreds of thousands of others died.

WE should have done more due diligence. Instead we WANTED him to be holding them. But he was not.

Let's say it's anecdotal data based on the lack of WMDs found so far...

Whose to say they weren't moved out before we invaded or as we were invading? I feel a lot safer knowing Saddam is gone. Now we just need to find Osama Bin Laden, how does such a tall Arab hide so damn well?
