In the album, the guy 'discovers' beauty of in simple music, but there are those who want to make it into something else. I read something of that in your OP.

"What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound?"

That simple thing that he experiences in the 'temple' when he picks up the guitar and begins to play is what I experienced in the woods in northern Louisiana one cool fall night when I fell on my knees and accepted Christ.

My faith in Christ is not about 'guilt and shame'.. it is about freedom. I am not sure why some want to lift up the guilt and shame, I wish they would quit calling whatever they are selling 'Christianity'.

We all fall short, My God does not ignore that... but He tells us we are free from it. He did that....

In your avatar (from the inside cover of the Album, IIRC it was a tri-fold) the man is holding up his hands to resist being drawn to the evil.

I don't know about you, but any time I try on my own... I fail.

The things most people agree are 'good' Love, Joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control don't come from 'religion'... we screw it up with religion. I can not be / do those things consistently on my own...

I have found (in Christ) something more then I can do on my own.

As I said before, I am sorry some folks make this so complicated.. and add so much junk. It is really simple, and even if you are not interested in what I am talking about in my faith in Christ... the VERY LAST thing anyone should take away from the discussion is the kind of 'bitter taste' that has obviously been left from your dealings with this in the past.

Blessings, and tight lines to all who read.
Great Speech!
Isn't it amazing how 3 so young could create such a masterpiece ?
