Default Question for you construction experts

How do you feel about using peel and stick for more than just the roof. I am considering using it instead of Tyvek for the wrap. Is this a good or bad idea?
Thanks
Ted

You could have a problem in the humid climate with the walls not being able to "breath". Also its a little expensive for that application because your not really gaining an advantage by using it as opposed to tyvek or roofing felt. Are you asking for any particular reason?

I'm an Architect and get asked this a lot. Unless you have a huge amount of openings, edges, flashings, then use a building wrap. Peel and stick is too thick of a membrane for walls. Use a building wrap or even good ole' tarpaper (amazing how well it works when installed right).
