Default Question for those of you who garden

How do I know when to harvest Zuchinni? This one is huge and getting bigger by the day. Is it ready?

I have always been told you want to pick squach(yellow and zuchini) before they get hard. Once they get hard you better get a chainsaw to cut them with. I would go ahead and pick it. By the way, looks awesome. Just went out into my garden and picked a bunch of stuff this morning. Gotta put some Thyadine down to keep the bugs out this afternoon though.

That would be a good size to pick now! Looks good! When they get bigger they get seedy and aren't as good.

it is close enough. keep them picked and they will continue to produce. If they get too big they get "peffy" and dont taste as good.

I have always picked mine when the bloom on the end starts to schrivle up.That one will be really tender but could have grown more without hurting anything.Either way it is going to be good eating.Looks like you are doing it right

+1 on the entire statement. I've got some little white wormy looking bugs on our tomato plants. Picked cucumbers, yellow squash and a variety of peppers this morning.
