Don't some of the tuners shut the egr off automatically? I know you can physically remove it, just curious.

Not in my ethics, but there is a program to delete the egr. BUT I would not recommend it unless u doI egr delete. I had a guy other day, put new head studs in, blue spring kit egr delete, external oil cooler. He called me it wouldn't start, he hadn't programed the truck yet. Please don't mess up a truck cause ur aggravated I am always here I am not really big into after market mods but We can so them. Just remember the truck is only supposed to do what it does from stock.

I asked a well know deisel mechanic shop around here if they could put on a egr delete and they said no. Something about the EPA is checking or if they find out then the shop would be find and if im caught i could lose my truck. Ipull the egr valve every oil change and clean it and they told me i was wasting my time. I do it anyways though

I don't blame you, that cetane booster will help the most other than idle time. Can't blame the shops for not getting involved. Same law as
Pulling off A convertor. Bad news for them. Not a very bad job u could do it riff raff diesel sells a kit

The good thing is we don't live in Califonia so we don't have to worry with the epa or dmv checking our vehicles for polution control just yet. There are shops putting the egr deletes on. Some probably won't because they want you coming in for a $1500 egr cleaning job ever so often. Just a thought... I don't know a lot about the 6.0's but everything I've read says do not run a tuner until the egr delete has been done. Not trying to scare you but you have a $25k truck, Why ruin it? My brother worked for the dept of Eviro Protection until they just recently combined with game and fish a few months ago. Trust me none of them are popping hoods to check out weather your truck has a egr delete on it. And how many EPA cop cars have you ever seen?

If we did have EPA popping hoods we would all be in trouble!
