Had the same problem a few years back. Discovered it was rust plugging the tank valve. Happened on several Blue Rhino prefilled exchange tanks. Bought my own empty tank and fill it at the local uhaul. Works like a champ on my grill.

I use 40# tanks and high flow regulators. Far as troubleshooting, start at the tank and check for obstructions in the valve outlet. Shake the cylinder and make sure "tip valve" is not stuck. Next check the regulator. Break the hose connection at the cooker and flow some gas through it, it should flow freely with flow increased and decreased with your valve. Clean the burner. Check the damper and make sure there are no obstructions. Clean the burner very good. Reconnect the gas line. Turn it on and light it. Remember, the only things that can keep it at a low flow state are obstructions or bad regulator. If you have a needle valve you can just remove the regulator all together and throttle through the valve. Hope this helps.....
