Default PRISIONER TREATMENT

<SPAN class=spnMessageText id=msg>T. Bubba Bechtel, a part time City Councilman from Midland, TX, was asked on a local live radio talk show the other day just what he thought of the allegations of torture of the Iraqi prisoners. His reply prompted his ejection from the studio, but to thunderous applause from the audience.
"If hooking up an Iraqi prisoner's scrotum to a car's battery cables will save one Texas GI's life, then I have just two things to say":

"Red is positive"
"Black is negative"

It's amazing how this stuff makes it all around the web, then right back home again.

He actually lives on Pensacola Beach and does not hold an elected office. But a very funny man none the less.

Jim, I'm sure it is in some aspect. But you can get information by using it and comes NO WHERE close to being beheaded. So I say we are better then them.

Ron,

I'd bet you'd find NOBODY who has been a POW who will support ANY form of torture.

AND... I'd bet you won't find many current servicemembers who don't think "That could be me..."

NOT shooting at you, just providing experience and sorrow for a GREAT man, and a good friendprobably lost, who probably went through the worst kind of torturefor information that was useless the next day. I guarantee, after day2,torture becomes "just for the fun of it"... At least with regard to torturing ordinary pilot, infantryman, special forces, SEAL...etc

Info is toofluid after 24 hours for the average operator. You might gain some simple training or operational procedures, but simple techniques will provide those.

Jim

For one thing they don't waterboard every prisoners, they have only done it a very few times. And only to the leaders that might have some important information. We don't know how many attacts on us they have stoped because of this. Besides we are not doing it any more and have not for some times. The news keep talking about it like it happens several times a day, trying to make Bush look bad.

Atleast we have not cut any of the terrorist heads off wilt a dull knife and show it on their TV.

Just my opion.
