Default Pensacola Tourism Film 1964, This is to cool!!!!!!!!!!!

I was 4 years old when this came out. Somebody sent this to me today, way to cool, lots of fishing, show's the old pier and the Casino and Casino beach, the old bridge, NAS, ect, ect... Long film about 15 minutes, but worth every second of it.... Enjoy, Tom

PS The Pensacola in that film is the one that lives in my heart. Not trying to be negative but kinda makes me wonder what happened to this place....

Thanks for sharing a flashback.
It was really nice to see the OLD buildings, The San Carlos, The Casino, The Municipal Auditorium, and the undeveloped areas of the beach.
Nostalgic.

I watched it again... Fantastic vid. I was born on NAS Main Side (when they used to do that) in Ward "P", I remember the Casino, and the terrazzo flooring that we used to park on after they tore it down, I remember running all through Fort Pickens before they sealed most of it off, the old fishing pier, I saw the original Lynyrd Skynyrd at the bay front Auditorium only a few concerts before there plane went down, the Chicken Box at the circle in Warrington, I stood at John Ham's office on Garden Street and watched the San Carlos fall to the ground. That video sure brought back a lot of memories……

Seeing the Casino reminds of when we used to hitch-hike from Ferry Pass to the beach almost every Saturday and Sunday. Back then it wasn't a problem to thumb a ride to the beach.

Don't know about any nuclear reactor. I kind of doubt it. I do remember being able to climb all over the structures and go into all kind of places at Ft. Pickens. Also, remember when red snapper was common on most restaurant menus.
