Default Pensacola Aquarium Research Center (Old Treatment Plant)

There is a benefit event this friday, Saturday and Sunday out at the old Barnhills Catfish Country Buffet on West 98. The place is about a half mile west of Blue Angel Pkwy. From what I understand the proceeds go to help out the get it going costs on getting this to happen down there. It was talked about on Ch.3 news the last couple days. I only have a phone number for further info 232-2951.

Up to the third floor?

All that housing within a mile did pretty good for being under water.

Besides, the new Maritime Park will protect it.

Default re ball park

Ditto for that, I carry plenty of guns, but dont want to anger that crowd.IVe been in a lot of storms since 1958 ist in charleston 1958 or 9 lived on water washed all other houses away but ours, we had a 100yr old 10 ft off ground. came here in1970, nas just in time for camile. got out navy worked contract for gp for 3 yrs was sent out in storms before they got there, last 17 yrs worked for ecua, disaster team , as soon as storm slowed a little we were out in 4 fuel tks hauling to 250 emerg gen 24 hrs day.i was in tigar point next morning almost all houses gone for 1 1/2 miles 20 to 30 dead? I wouldnt even take a camera still remember the new corvette burried nose down with only trunk showing. across the hwy close to where ruyands was a lady doctor downed in her 2nd floor. it might be like before for 30 yrs all came straight for us but turned east or west at last min. then it didnt turn. look at new orleans fish tanks heck my father in law lost his 2 story house on water, never been paid for it, since it was a flood, ha ha. back to nas, we flew our planes to texas and miss, straight to the storm, never hit pensacola.Ill still enjoy it while its here.I bought a expensive generator hadnt needed it since that storm
