Hisname.....paranoia is the statement that cops come in and take guns.....there is a difference between paranoia and preparedness. Gbliz....cops are not permitted to shoot someone running away. I am not in anyway saying what this guy did was wrong in the least. My original comment was to the poster complaining about the cops taking the victim's gun. It is not their call. Don't try to vilify the officers for doing what they are required to do. And for hisname to make a statement like he did about cops coming and taking guns, when has that happened? People get on forums and make statements like that with nothing to back it up, trying to make officers out to be the bad guy. In over 7 years, the only time I have taken guns from a person was due to a mental health evaluation. They were returned to him as soon as it was completed.

actually i have a friend that had his weapons removed from his home without him having done any wrong duing because his badymomma filled a restraining order and said he threatend her; neither of which he did or was convicted of.... the deputy that showed up to serve him was a friend of his so it made it easier... although it did require another deputy in a suv to cart off his toys... i know that if i fire my concealed weapon or one that i have at home it will be "held" until the issue is resolved.... but i don't agree with it...

i didn't vilify anyone saying he protected his self... you have some sort of chip on your shoulder with this,, or me? but looking for gma speeding searching her car or searching anyones car for a traffic stop,,,or chasing pot heads,, isn't what i think should be happening,,more time in the neighborhoods ,,might help... maybe more time in gang areas,,, what a concept,, lets have a liaison with them...we wish you would stop this ...go figure that crime is on the rise in so many areas...i think this liason means we don't want to make waves with you .. i dont need your bs,, NO ONE THAT I WOULD KNOW NEEDS YOU TO TELL THEM THE GUN WAS TAKEN UNTILL THE INCIDENT GETS RESOLVED... YOU SOUND MORE LIKE A PARANOID COP !!!! SO KEEP SEARCHING CARS WEAR YOUR PROTECTION ON YOUR HIP

Here is your statement. Again, the police don't make the laws, they enforce them. As I said originally, the department has no intention of filing charges against the VICTIM. Your statements show your opinion of law enforcement. You have the chip on your shoulder. If you don't like the way law enforcement is pursued, do something. Get with your local agency, talk to your local officers. Laws don't protect the criminals, whiny, sniveling liberals protect the criminals. So as to your shots at me....I spend my time in the high crime areas, in the gang areas, I deal with them everyday and put them in jail every chance I get. You sir on the other hand, sit behind a computer and take shots at officers in general. People obviously did need an explanation as to why the weapon was taken, if you didn't.....good for you. But there was someone questioning as to why it was taken. The explanation was for them. Have a good day.

Chrisg , No one wants to argue with you , many of us have different Idea's or opinions than you do is all.

if your LEO then Thanks for your service. You say LEO only enforces the Law and I fully understand that, but sometimes the Law can leave a man defenseless
do not be offended when someone says it is possible to have their Firearms taken 1st , then see if they are guilty of anything 2nd and is now disarmed of his weapon like this man is.
If the Thugs he shot have friends , family ,or a gang looking to retaliate, he is in danger if that was his only gun.
Therefore having replacement weapons for self defence that are well hidden is not such an extreme Idea.
I understand you have a stressful Job , I hope you do not experience more stress on this board.
Many of us are Former Military and look at self defence differently and prepare more than those "whiny, sniveling liberals " you speak of.
Welcome to the Board Sir
