TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - University of Alabama Director of Athletics Bill Battle is pleased to announce that head football coach Nick Saban and the University have concluded a new long-term agreement.

"We are very pleased to have this agreement completed," said Saban. "Terry and our family are very happy in Tuscaloosa. It has become home to us. This agreement allows us to continue to build on the tremendous success that we have enjoyed to this point - successes that have transcended the football field. We are excited about the future and the University of Alabama is where I plan to end my coaching career.

"We are committed to continuing the work that we have been doing in the community as well as at the University. We are also excited about the opportunity awaiting us on Jan. 2 in the Allstate Sugar Bowl against the University of Oklahoma and hope to send this year's tremendous senior class out in the proper way."

Looks like all you hand jobs and your "sources" got it wrong again as usual. Chumps will be chumps.

You must not be a very good business man. From what I've seen not only has he single handily brought in 100s of millions to the University he has also made Skyrocketed ticket sales, memorabilia sales, donations. And one of the bigger feats has improve the enrollment at the University so much they are steadily building newer up to date classroom facilities and such. I'd say they have well got their investments worth out of him already.

You assume a lot. I'm a bad businessman because I think Saban should have honored his March 2012 contract? What's the point of having a multi year deal? Why not have a year to year contract? That way if he wins, they pay him more the next. If he loses, then pay him less or don't renew. Most of the classroom improvements have been on the books before he got there. You can come up with whatever rationale you want, but if he doesn't win the NC next year is 2 mil extra worth it? Starting QB gone along with some others. Not saying he's gonna go 3-9, but there has been a lot of talk about a season that's down the drain this season with one loss.
