I would like to add to USMCPayne's description of the financial cost and add that it physically hurts to get them off. Going through the skin cell layers has to be painful. I know that the NAVY would not allow us in OCS with one that showed. But, the thing that has baffled me most is how this thread has gotten so many hits. The PFF might ought to get Zulubravo on the payroll to instigate more conversations.

It got the hits, because everyone thought it was a girl with tattoos.

Archer-1 you nailed it. I believe this is a question for Dr. Laura anyway and seems really out of place in the Forum. All of you guys are very patient and gave some outstanding advice but I know it fell on deaf ears.

Hey, I know you are a dude, but if you really want to see what girls and tats look like...just go to Big Kahunas. Went today and NASTY stuff right there. Made me throw up in my mouth a little. I never knew how many women actually had tattoos. At 65 wearing a thong....it ain't pretty.

Note...I'm not saying all tattoo'd ladies are like that, just an observation of what I saw today.

Now, whether that statement is true or not, that is what people will think of you.
[email protected]#$^^^ why weren't tats popular 30 years ago? I had to actually spend money and take chicks out, kinda sort through the market to find those kinda girls. Now they all come with labels. Sure as hell saves a lot of time and money.

They aren't called "Tramp Stamps" for nothing, aka "Panama City License Plates".

k guys i have thought and thought on how to respond back to MOST of the threads on this post... and some have really angered me to the point ive written and erased my responses serveral times.. not wanting to sound like im going off half cocked... just because a lady has a tattoo doesnt mean she is a druggy, a tramp, a slut, trash.. and well just because I let my kids have ink too doesnt mean im a bad parent.. you guys may think so.. and you can think what you want.. my kids and i have a very good relationship.. my kids arent troublemakers, they dont run the streets.. Hell my 20 year old supported me and his siblings for almost 2 years till i got on my feet from when there dad left.... so think what you will...just because people have tattoos it doesnt make them bad people.. all it is a is a personal expression..

I don't completely agree with you on a few things. 1) My mother let me get a tattoo at 16 and the perception of me really took a hit. Her as a parent as well from people who didn't know us. The world has it's own rules and we live by them or bitch about them. 2) as far as being a form of expression that can be true but what your missing is why? Why would a person who is not a rock star need tattoos as an adult? To me because of insecurity. You will notice the people who never grow out of putting tiger stripes over boring lion fur tend to do it in other aspects of their life. Ex. Abrasive attitude, sex, drugs, fights, stupid ass look at me loud motorcycles and so on. All I'm saying is tattoos tend to come from 2 things insecurity and beer.
