Default Now THIS is what a Patriotic demonstration means to me!!

Since there was some confusion about the times of the memorial service at the Methodist church in Niceville this morning, I decided to go over and try to find CCC and anyone else who may have made the drive over from P-cola. BTW, the service is starting at 1PM this afternoon, for sure.

I got there at about 9AM and parked in my friend's drive and there was only 4 vehicles in the Methodist parking lot. So I went up 285 toward Rt. 20 and, at the top of the hill, I found this at the adjacent church parking lot!!!!

I veered into the lot and this whole scene just brought tears to my eyes as a handfull of Viet Nam vets came over and asked me if I was there for the memorial! I got out of my truck and walked a half block over to Rt. 20 and found this along the highway leading through downtown Niceville!!

Looking up the street, I saw this sight!

Down the street, I saw more of the same!!

For 2 blocks there were people standing in line holding American flags and waving to the passersby as they mostly all honked their horns and waved or shot the V sign to the people on the curb!

I walked down the hill to the end of the line and this is how it looked back toward town.

This was a 9 AM, after they all found out that the memorial was scheduled for early afternoon!! And it was raining to boot!! But they all stayed and they all had a focus on making a showing for the Patriotism that each felt for the other and for our great country!!

I will be going back this afternoon but I doubt that the shitforbrainswannabe protesters will have the guts to show up in light of this greeting committee!!

If you take note, many of these people were veterans, all of them were orderly, stood at a casual parade rest holding their flags staff down and not waving them about or yelling or making a fuss at all. I was so proud of that group of people, most were bikers who showed up for the memorial early so as to take position in front of the SFB visitors from Kansas ..................... if any of them dare to show up.

Rumor has it that, if they are given some air time on local radio or TV, they will stay away but I really hope that none of the stations take the bait and let them further their idiotic cause on our airwaves here in Okaloosa county!

Framer, I was there, sorry I missed you, I had on a blue cut off PFF shirt with a redfish on the back, shaved head, goatee, tattoos, drove a little white Kia that had "Westboro Sucks", "Go Home Westboro", and "Westboro I am your Huckleberry". I am sure I saw you there just didn't know who you were.

Wow! That is impressive. Were the Kansas church protesters out in full force or did they ditch their signs?
