Default Next recession

What's your prediction? When will it happen, how long will it last, and how bad will it be?

I am guessing around 2022. May stretch to 2023. And I think it will be a 3 or 4 year downfall. Unless we get another major storm. Housing market is booming, honestly thinking of listing our house end of the year. The hood is almost built out, 3 neighbors have sold their houses in the last 3 months and they sold within 2 weeks of listing for 25% over what they paid. Its all on too much of an up and up. I am planning for it now

We'll get a dip and market correction but the real danger is on the horizon - financial collapse - unless this country gets its financial books in order.

It's all cyclical...we don't need another war, and we certainly don't need socialism...

If you have the ability to build or contract yourself, that's a great way to pocket tax free $'s. I sold our house and built another several times over the years, finally made enough to have our last house debt free. At the time you could sell every 2 years and the sale was tax free.

I just built my own and saved so much on the build price. I want to start building more and selling them

Trying to keep it non-political but my thought is it'll start if it becomes apparent that house majorities could flip to dem policy. One needs to look at what the market did when Trump won in November.

this tells the story, I don't see a recession for a long time. I see a repeat of the 80's boom. Notice the date in the pic. People forget all of the records this administration has achieved. The stock market has never grown so fast in a short amount of time ever in US history.

I've been in building for around 50 years, the industry cycles up and down. On the way up, plumbers, electricians, and other tradesmen become "contractors". They build and sell a few houses, then often get greedy and have 2-3 houses going at once. Market does a down swing, they get caught. Now they are making payments on 2-3 or more unsold houses. Seen it happen over and over again.
