Default New Waverunner

Wow, what a day, bought a new wave runner on Thursday, got a 2011 Yamaha VX 1100 Cruiser. Launched at Big Lagoon at 07:30 and proceeded to Ft. Mcree, left there and went to Quietwater. Not much happening there. Dang Capt funs not open 9am on Saturday, so we left there and went to Pirates Cove, had a couple of beers and ms penny had a few ritas, left there and went back to quietwater, stayed till about 4pm. Left went back to ft mcree for a short dip. Then on to big lagoon, I'm a bit wore out, who the hell am I kidding, I'm wore slap out. Great day though.

I picked up 2 used seadoo's, for my wife and I, finally hit the bay on Friday afternoon, what a blast, moves much faster than our kayaks. We really enjoyed the time on the water.

Hitting the shallows on the south side of the sound around big sabine and the hatchery is a blast. Also, head up blackwater river with the skis. It's a blast taking the turns and shooting all the way up river. There's a pretty cool spot up river where cold water creek pours into the river. Take a small kayak anchor or mushroom anchor with you so you can stop and anchor up and walk up the sandbed.

And keep an eye out for kayakers on the rivers if you will, kicking back and forth on the turns at full speed can throw up a wake even for a wave runner that will swamp a 'yak no matter how much experience the paddler has!!

Cut those kayakers some slack when you are out there enjoying the "fast life"!!
