The pricing was already agreed upon between Mr. English and the county's Real Estate Department. The commission approved the purchase of the property on the agreed upon price. Now the difficult part begins, concept, surveys, design, permits, permits, more permits, then construction. It may open in about a year, if we're lucky.

Now that we will have access to the lower Perdido river, the next order of business is finding and purchasing suitable property for a ramp on Perdido Bay. That has proven to be a difficult task, with neighborhood issues, unrealistic pricing, wetland issues, sea grass issues, low bridge issues, and dredging issues. The Marine Advisory Committee will keep looking and asking until a suitable parcel at a realistic price is located.
