Default NEED GLASS WINDOW FOR TRUCK

Came home last night to a busted window on the drivers side. I need to get it fixed before the rains hit this weekend. I looked on line and found 3 places.

Was just wondering where some of you have had stuff replaced that had broken side windows. Got to head to work but will be back hopefully early. :banghead

For reference, that piece of glass COST, Not retail is $62.60

Cash payment should ALWAYS be cheaper then Insurance. The smaller glass companies are easier to deal with, as far as price.

Like you said, you might as well replace the regulator while you are at it.

But Murph, with my experience in the glass business, I don't think the regulator is bad. I feel that the bushings in the gearing of the motor itself went FUBAR. Generally when the window such as yours won't go up or down the gear is spinning due to these nylon (3 per motor) bushings breaking. I have NEVER had to replace a regulator in a Ford vehicle with the problem that you have. BUT you just might need both regulator and bushings. The kit is OEM, as in MOST local auto parts won't/don't stock them, and in the past I've had to get them from a dealer. Now the Internet has changed the way things are sold today.
