I think Delta is a good name for a Female. Those are smart dogs for sure.

One of the best dogs I ever had was a female chocolate lab and her name was Babe...it was a very fitting name because she was such a beautiful girl... a real Babe...

maybe something to play off the chocolate...
Val for very expensive Valrhona chocolate
Coco for cocoa powder

How bout Michelle. You could put her in a "WhiteHouse".

Sorry about that Fisheye, I couldn't resist.

Do you have kids? If so, let them name the dog, even though they may pick a name that you might not like, they will appreciate the chance to be involved.

I agree with whyworry, let the kids name the dog, especially if you're not smart enough to name it yourself. The dog doesn't care what her name is. Feed her and love her and she'll be a good dog.
