Yea, what I meant was - there is no longer a moniker of "seal team 6," it's used as a press buffer. As Patoz posted, ST6 is now DEVGRU out of Little Creek. Bad dudes, too. I've met a few of those guys.

Multiple specwar units at Little Creek, VA, and Coronado, CA.
DEVGRU is at Oceana, VA. However you will see DEVGRU operating out of LC.

different reasons....blending in to local populations, they put them over their nose/mouth to keep dust out, use it for warmth, used as a towel, etc

I saw the devgru guys at the AIC a few times. Those dudes are badass no two ways about it. A guy I was stationed with on ship went seal and ended up in devgru. They used to have security training at cinclantflt compound and the devgru guys would be the perps trying to get on base. Fun stuff.
