Default Is my Honda motor ruined??

We have a nice Lil Wonder walk behind street blower with a Honda motor. Itís only a year or so old. Staff member flipped it over on its side last week while it was running. Not sure if it quit running or they cut it off after a few seconds. What should I do to check it out and fire it back up. Crossing our fingers no major damage occurred.

Pull spark plug out. Keep yanking on pull start cord to see if oil comes out. Pull till cleared. If no oil, reinsert plug and carry on with blowing.

Most honda engines have a low oil switch that will kill the fire. When the motor was tipped it should have killed the ignition. Do as Kanaka suggested

Should be no issues with the carb right?

Not unless it was dropped on the carb.

Believe there's a shutoff for the gas to the carb, don't know if ya'll use it or not.
If it's off, turn it on and see if the carb floods, if so tap the bowl to unstick float. If it's still on and not dripping gas all over, you should be golden.

Just remembered something. The gas cap on the tank, is it the big, tall chrome one? If so, there's a filter insert in there that might have got soaked with gas. When that happens, you'll run into a venting issue, can't breath to pass gas downstream.
Just let it air dry for 1/2 day.
You can thank the EPA for that hidden gem.

honestly didn't know you could hurt a Honda.... even if it means dumping it on the concrete.

Landlord in Germany kept a 20 year old self propelled for tenants and the only issue was it smoked a tad on start up. Loved that machine for the three years we rented.

Those gas caps are crap. I've changed the tank and went back to the old cap on a pressure washer

So we’re trying to start it now. Unscrewed screw on the bottom of the bowl and gas was dark in color. It’s running clear now. It’s spitting and sputtering. Think it’s flooded. Will try again in a couple hours or so.
