Default Moving to Pensacola

I'll be moving to Pensacola in a couple of weeks. Just wondering if I could get some fishing spot info from anyone. I've run across a few reports about the beach between Pensacola and Destin

Hundreds of spots put down in past three years all public information. Check the internet.

Yes there are and I get it. Nobody wants to share favorite spots. I'm right there with you on that and realize it's a lot of trial and error ahead of me. Just asking for narrowed down info is all

If you're looking for surf fishing spots straight off the beach, anywhere you see people surfing on a rough day with big waves, is a good future spot to put in your memory bank. Easy way for a novice to find spots. Lots on the Pensacola beach avenidas.

When you come down, get to know folks and you will learn a lot of good information. Public reefs are a good start. There are some great fishing guides on the forum that are worth the investment to hire to begin learning the area.

If you're on FB, join "Surf Fishing the Gulf of Mexico". Lots of info there.

The good fishing spots constantly move, as the sand bars and troughs move. You need to learn how to recognize them. There is a very good thread on here somewhere with pics showing what to look for and how the currents work. What was a killer spot last week can be a desert today, especially after a strong storm.

If you could be more specific I could share some knowledge. Are you wanting to surf fish, wade fish for inshore species, hit local bridges, etc..
