Some people use them when they could actually walk with out a problem . My grandpa uses them when he go into walmart he is 84 years old and hates to have to use them he would rather walk how ever he's knee is bad i have seen some people use them when they had broke legs . Which i see nothing wrong with them using these carts but on the same hand i have seen people that dont need to be using them and use them any way . I think walmart can't really ask people why they need the carts because they may face some kinda invasion of privacy and as many people have seen and heard on the news people get sued for anything any more so they figure its in there best interest not to ask so they wont get sued . Just my thoughts on it how ever if there miss using them then tell a worker there and im sure they will handle it

About three years back I seriously hurt my back to the point that I had trouble walking more than 30 feet without having to sit down. But I am proud to say that in the time that it took for me to recover I never once used any sort of walking aid, nor a wheelchair of any kind. Unfortunatley I did have a handicapped tag, but when I had to walk close to 3/4 of a mile from the back of the parking lot to class it got a little embarassing having to get to the school parking lot 2 hours early, just to get to class 5 minutes late. This society is truly an emabarassment when you compare it to other countries that don't have the luxuries that we take for granted on a daily basis.

I try to not take the easy route every time but plenty of times I will...I like going to Mcdonalds and seeing a line of cars around the building for the drive thru, then look and no one is inside ordering..I drive by real slow and park at the end of the line by the window, walk in get my food real fast and walk out eating my fries so they can see me

I do the same thing to the loop drivers in store parking lots who circle ,round and round , jockeying for a position closest to the door. Its great at WalMart because if you time it right you can catch them at the crosswalk and make them stop for you to walk by

Some people are really too lazy to walk an extra 20 yds
RE: I gave up the "remote" over 2 years ago when I found out that anything I chose to watch on TV was also available on HULU without all the incessant commercials every 10 minutes!

RE: Mickey D's - I am not a fast food eater, no reason other than, if the grease smell is that bad on the OUTSIDE of the building, how bad can the food be for you on the INSIDE of the building?? Plus, I have never seen a worker in most of the FF restaurants who wasn't obesely overweight! That said, I would take perverse pleasure in walking out eating a fistful of fries in front of all those lazy drivers who just spent 10 minutes in line at the drive through and STILL haven't got to order their food yet!!

Years ago my son was afflicted with a very rare form of cancer of the spine. He was just 4 years old and the winters in So. IL were usually a mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet, and a little snow thrown in for effect. I had to push him (or most times drag him backwards) in a wheel chair whenever we went to Wally World and you just don't have a clue how difficult it is to push/drag a wheel chair up a slick parking lot hill in the frozen icy ruts left from vehicles driving in half melted icy snow .......... because the Handicapped parking spots were all full!! It became a real "wheel trap" once winter built up these ruts and the temps stayed below freezing!! I have dragged that wheel chair past vehicles sitting in Handicapped parking spots with no window tags, no Handicapped license plates, and one lady got really upset with me because I stopped behind her Chrysler to rest my arms while she waited to back out of a "blue" parking spot. I lost it with that broad that day. She was too lazy to park in a regular spot while I had to park half a row down an icy hill with my paralyzed son!

Sorry if I strayed off the subject but I still get the shakes when I think how close I came to punching that smart mouthed that cold windy day!!

The Creighton Walmart lets anyone use one. A middle school aged girl attempted to drive one in the ladies restroom and got it stuck. when she couldn't dislodge the cart, she abandoned ship. I agree that Walmart doesn't want to get sued especially if race related but I think from what I have been seeing with kids in Walmart that it is a matter of time until someone gets run over. When it happens the driver will have no problem getting up and running away. I also agree with those of you have need of the machines. I would like for these to have been around when my grandmother needed one. I couldn't get my dad to use one due to pride so he continued to hobble along.
