I've been shopping there for a long time and I have personally never had a problem. They have always been helpful.

Wow,

THis is timely. I was actually planning to stop in there this week.

Life is too short to put up with the kind of garbage i am reading about on this thread.

Thanks for taking the time to post, and saving me a trip.

I shop there all the time and done so for years I have had one bad experience. But that can happen in any store. They have always greeted me and waited on me and I'm nothing special. Of they didn't have what wanted they offered to get It in.I will continue to buy from locals first _

Default I 'e had two bad experiences there...

I don't remember the first one, but the second was about 10 yrs ago... I was in the store with $1500 cash to buy a safe. I was talking to a guy about them and he took a phone call... I left after about a minute and haven't been back...

Buying from locals is one thing, but.. If you are a small local company selling a product which can be sold at some of the large box retailers, maybe you should put a little extra care in your customers. I will buy locally from the people who deserve my business and will choose not to shop and spend my hard earned money were i am treated like shit. No matter what the price or demand for the product. As far as Mikes goes, they have a good selection and quality products with crappy sales people and as far as i could tell not much knowledge of their product. I hope they change the attitude of their workers in order to stay in business, because by the feedback of this forum it seems like they have lost some valuble business opportunities.

I agree, all small, local businesses need to take extra care of their customers, new or returning. These days the few advantages that local shops have over big time suppliers IS "customer service"....which clearly Mike's Gun Shop lacks. It's unbelievable that over 90% responses to this thread agree with the originator!!!!!

I remember a thread on this a couple years ago. About 5 or 6 years ago I went there to buy some hiking boots for Colorado, it was not busy and neither the man or lady working there would wait on me. Lady told me to go see the guy in archery, went over there and he straight up ignored me. Have not been back since, will never ever go back. Crazy that place is open with these kind of local reviews.

Anyone have the owner's email? He should be notified of a thread like this, and hopefully can improve his store. I would want to know if I were him, if he somehow doesn't know there is a problem already. Did a search looking for contact info and couldn't come up with anything, but they even have bad reviews on yahoo. Ouch.
