i agree that such a primitive brain could not comprehend what would happen beyond eating the meal in front of him at any moment.

then consider the crock is 20+ years old , and at some point dementia will set in and he will just eat what is in front of his face.

will probably end very badly

I don't think it's a Croc either, I think it's an Alligator. Croc's have a different shaped nose. JMO. Either way, Croc's are suppossed to be one of the only animals on the planet that kill for sport on a short list Humans are at the top of.

When I was stationed at Hurlburt we had a gator with three legs that lived in a creek across from the shop. He got use to eating stufff people would throw to him and because of them feeding him he was killed and called a dangerous animal because he no longer feared Humans he associated them with a hand out of food. I think that may have had more to do with this "Croc" following the guy home more then he thought in his Ganglia of a brain he was his pal.
