not too sore today, need some inputs though

lucky me, the lady who rear-ended me, had her insurance cancelled in Nov. Never had this happen to me before but I know several probably have......obviously I will have to file with my insurance but how does this all play out?

1) Florida NO Fault

2) Ctc Ins co. this will NOT be a chargeable accident to you.

3) Your Insurance Co will fix your truck

4) Your insurance Co will go after (subrogate)the repair cost from them.

5) Now if you have State Farm, and others do this too but can't speak for them..Any money they collect (if any) will be paid back to you to cover up to 100% of your deductible.

I don't recall if State Farm has preferred shops any more or not, but if they do and if you use one, the repairs are guaranteed for as long as you own that vehicle...State Farm makes that guarantee.

<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD><SPAN class=iii-std>SUBROGATION</TD></TR><TR><TD>

<SPAN class=iii-std>The legal process by which an insurance company, after paying a loss, seeks to recover the amount of the loss from another party who is legally liable for it.

<SPAN class=iii-std>Hope this answers your question...if you need more information don't hesitate to ctc me and I'll run it by Susan.

<SPAN class=iii-std>Duifferent states have different rules...but this is basically how it works.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Glad you are okay and good job on assisting the other drivers.

You'll have to pay your deductable and the insurance compay will sue the person who hit you. Don't hold your breath on getting your money back. I put a dent in my durango by backing up a trailer (it was my frist time damn it) and while i was on a business trip I had my dad pick it up from the body shop for me. As he is sitting in the parking lot a drunk driver hits the drivers side door and scrapes all down the side. Then takes off. My dad being the kind of guy he is....follows her to a liquor store and gets her tag. Cops make an arrest and surprise surprise, she didn't have inssurance. So I pay my deductable and have yet to see my 1000.00 dollars. That was almost 2 years ago
