Default Lucky cop, lucky suspect

I was watching most shocking and there was a clip were a man shot a cop 2 time in the chest and once in the finger, then suspect was shot 5 times by a responding officer and the lucky bastard survived as did the wounded cop.

My problem is the suspect only got 20 years. What has happened to our law system. The guys lucky the cop didn't finish him off and he's luck I'm not the judge, or hanging would be in his future. O did I mention before that he stabbed his wife...

I dont have all the answers and dont even have most of them but I know that guy should at least do life if not death. 20 years probably actually means 8-10 and the punk is out and playing again.

I was lucky in my case the guy that shot me got 4life sentences and 30yrs. I also am very lucky, and thankful, that I'm still around. Where did the previous mentioned incident take place? Believe it or not this has a lot to do with it.

I hope I heard it wrong and and was 20 to life, but that is still not enough. I say public humilation stone throwing to the death. I'm certain if we bring back public hangings, fireinglines, etc then crime rate will drop like a rock.
