Default Loud pop and a flash about 1030pm

Anyone see or hear the Bright flash and loud pop about 10:30 pm? I was inside and thought I saw some kind of flash, then I heard a loud POP, havent heard any sirens, or heard anything else. Just curious if anyone else heard it

Nope, but during Ivan those big barrel things on power poles made some big self contained explosions with big blue white flashes.

Not sure of the proper name. Transformer?

About 15 or 20 years ago I was staying over night at my hunting club in an old 8x35 trailer that we had gutted and put 4 beds in.
I happen to wake up about 2:30 am and was sitting on my bed trying to get up the nerve to walk outside in 25 degree weather to answer nature's call. Suddenly the entire sky lit up. I mean like it was daylight for 5 seconds. Then it was dark again.
The newspaper had a report of it. Cops and others out at that time of night reported it. They never did figure out what it was.
