Default Looking for a motorcycle group to ride with

Looking for a Sunday morning group who may want to do blackwater area or something similar. I have done the blackwater roads once, but would not remember the route well enough to do it again by myself. I've been riding since I was 17 and have been on a 2000 BMW R1100S for about 2 years now. Not looking for the superbike race crew that drags their knees and wrecks every other week, but a safe, fun, fast ride through some twisties. I have a gopro camera that I have been itching to try out on a good long ride. Pm or comment if you want to get together when Tropical Storm Lee decides it is through punishing the motorcyclists.

I usually don't mention my site on here because I don't want to look like I'm spamming but check my site: www.pensacolariders.com

Nice bike btw.

The Oasis Breakfast Club meets every Saturday at 7:00 +/- at the Cracker Barrel at the Malbus Road exit off I-10. We used to meet at the Oasis, thus the name. There are about 65 +/- of us in the group but the rides are usually from 3-10 people, nothing large at all. It is very informal, no dues, regulations, etc.. Heck, we do not even have a website, just a Yahoo group.

It is a very diverse group, most riders are middle aged, some are younger, some are in their 80's. They ride all types of bikes. Some of the ones I have seen are Harleys, Crotch Rockets, Duc's, Guzzi's, old two strokes, BMW's and all kinds of Japanese bikes. Some of these guys ride all over, several were in AK and MT this year.

There is no formal membership per se, just show up at a meeting, get put on the mailing list, when an announced ride comes up you are interested in, pipe up and show up.

I know they are planning a big ride up to NC the week of Oct. 6th. I have not been a member (term very loosely used) but I have ridden with them a few times and they ride a brisk pace but nothing crazy at all.

The local Harley Davidson dealer is a member and shows up at just about all meetings. I ride a BMW R1200RT. Just in case you did not know, Pensacola is getting BMW dealership, HURRAY. It is being opened by the guy who owns the Harley Dealership, he is opening it in his old location on W Street. It is scheduled to open around the first of November.

Drop me an email at [email protected] if you want more information.

As usual, no proof or spell check
