Am I reading you correctly that you are saying Mike Whitehead is a good man. This man's track record is slicker than 30 weight oil when it comes to doing shady things. Good men don't have to cover up every move they make. When you run and are elected you have to live in a glass house.

"Slings and arrows"...sticks and stones...or whatever sugar coat you lay on it. A man in his position should have the sound judgment to understand that such actions would seem improper to the vast majority of people that he works for (voters and taxpayers). If he cant understand something as self evident as that, he does not deserve such an important position.

WhatI am saying is that the issue is now "in court". He can't (I hope)influence the Judge.I'm no fan of either of the players in this issue. iIjust don't see bashing when the issue is out of his hands. Who knows, perhaps the Road contractor has as legitimate beef w/ the county. That is what the court is for. Commissioners by nature of their actions and decisions can't keep everyone happy.

This issue is imflamed by twisted innuendo, not goodreason. It is in court, not before the board of commissioners.

The problem is that Roads Inc brought the lawsuit, not the county. if Mike Whitehead is at this fundraiser, and the road's inc guy says "hey, i tell you what, you help me get such and such contract, i will have the case dropped. oh by the way, here is some money for your campaign."

I think he made the $500 amount up, because the article also says that the amount of money raised at the fundraiser wont be known until his June campaign finance report is released. something tells me it is more than $500 because 30 to 40 people were there.

Roads, Inc. has filed a lawsuit. It has not yet gone anywhere "in the courts".

In the mean time, the BOCC (which Whitehead is the chairman), has held two "closed doors" meetings with Roads, Inc. and their attorneys.

If that is not an opportune time to influence the BOCC's position in the lawsuit, I don't know what is.

BTW, the county attorney advised all commissioners not to meet with anyone from Roads, Inc.

But Whitehead blew off that advice as not relative to private functions such as a fundraiser.

Get legal or get out.

Heavily fine or put in jail the ones hiring illegals.
Soon there would be way less illegals.

How do you know when Trump is doing something right????

When the D.C. status quo elite stuck in the mud out-of-touch pansies are crying foul at everything Trump is doing.

The lawsuit has been filed. It is far from going to trial and can and most likely will be settled out of court.

Whitehead can and has heaviliy defended all BOCC actions and decisions related to doing business with Roads, Inc. in the past.

Reggie Dogan does a little reminder article in todays PNJ about the "legal" Whitehead shenanigans of his past.

Whitehead seems to think he is above the law and says that there is an exception to every rule! That's BS. He is as crooked as they come, but knows he (like Childers)can get away with it. I can't vote him out because I'm not in his district - it seems that those in his district thinks he can do no wrong, either. Otherwise, he wouldn't be there. Isn't it funny that all politicians (99.9%) are rich and own businesses? I would like to see someone in there that knows what a dollar means, not someone who thinks one million dollars (not theirs) is nothing. Wouldn't it be nice to see a local politician that has had no dealings with politics, that isn't rich, that doesn't own a business and can devote full time to being a County Commissioner? That also goes for the other County Commissioners and City Councilmen/women.........time to get out of politics and run your businesses.
